Trading Tips:
United Kingdom: Stock prices are quoted in "pence" (1 British Pound = 100 pence), so customers must convert the stock price to British Pounds when placing orders.
For example, if HSBC Holdings is quoted at 690.02 pence, the customer should enter 6.9002 when placing the order.
There is a 0.5% stamp duty on buy orders (1% for shares of companies registered in Ireland).
A PTM levy of £1 is charged for transactions over £10,000.
Australia: Due to the time difference, the Australian winter/summer time is opposite to Hong Kong.
The minimum order size is AUD 500.
Japan: Japanese stocks have price limit up/down restrictions, with the limit range depending on the stock price.
Most stocks are traded in lots of 100 shares, and customers can use the "+"/"-" buttons in the trading system to confirm the lot size for individual stocks.
Singapore: There are no price limit up/down restrictions in the Singapore market.
Malaysia: There is a 30% price limit up/down restriction for both the morning and afternoon trading sessions. The Malaysian exchange calculates the price limit separately for the morning and afternoon sessions.
The afternoon session's price limit is based on the previous session's closing price, so the maximum daily price movement can be up to 69%.
Indonesia: During the post-trading session, new orders can only be executed at the closing price, and outstanding orders can only be modified to the closing price.
Only specific stocks are eligible for the pre-opening session.
